Purple Sunset by Natural State Medicinal and purchased at Green Springs Medicinal. It has a 23.4% THC level and is 60% Indica dominate. This was genetically established by crossing Purple Punch x Mandarin Sunset x Mandarin Cookie if it from an Ethos brand of seed. If its a Dank brand seed, its a cross of Purple Punch and Sunset Sherbert. I have to include a disclaimer as I am unsure which it is since Arkansas patients cannot contact a cultivator.
The look or jar appeal rates 9 out of 10. The nuggs are all pretty close to the same shape, size and density. The buds are multiple shades of green with purple splotches and a broad disbursement of dark amber to brown colored pistils. This sample is also covered in tricombs.
The smell rates 10 out of 10. It has a light fruity aroma that reminds me of fruity pebbles cereal. When you cut into the flower you get hit with citrus and floral notes.
The cure rates 9 out of 10. When examined under 40x magnification this sample looks great! The tricombs are cloudy and prominent. I’m still getting used to the microscope so I hope my pictures will improve in the near future. It has excellent moisture and passed the squeeze test as well.
The taste rates 6 out of 10. I wrapped a half gram dose in an OCB Slim Premium with a crutch. There is a little sinus burn. It is mildly fruity with a prevalent spice taste that comes from B-Caryophyllene terp.
The effect rates 9 out of 10. I feel mild body effect but its mostly a muscle relaxation than pain relief. The euphoria is sufficient to aid in distraction from my pain. I think the calming euphoric head high would benefit patients with PTSD symptoms, depression and stress during the day. I have no drowsiness and my focus is much improved. In closing, even though its not a pain killer, its definitely a benefit to my symptoms, giving it an average of 8.6 out of 10 overall in Amco’s High Opinion.
