Mandarin Cookies by Natural State Medicinal and purchased from Green Springs Medicinal Mandarin Cookies has a 25.1% THC content. This is a mix of two classics and exactly how it sounds: Mandarin Sunset x Cookies by Ethos Genetics originally. I believe this is the source that Natural State Medicinal used to create the sample.
~ The look rates 8 out of 10. This sample is a pale English pea color with dark auburn pistils tightly woven into the dense berry shaped buds. This eighth ounce is made up of buds ranging from pea to large grape sized. It was packaged in a black plastic child proof bottle.
~ The smell rates 7 out of 10. The aroma is so multifaceted and complex. I pick up hints of sour backed a bright citrus and a peppery finish.
~ The cure rates 8 out of 10. Under magnification the 90% opaque tricomb coverage is revealed. I did not find any amber tricombs. Its my understanding the flower is picked when the entire room is the most marketable as plants grow at different rates. Trying to pick at the amber stage of tricombs, would put the crop at risk for being over ripe. I’m still impressed with the cloudiness of the tricombs of this sample but would love to see a grow with 70% amber colored tricomb strain in Arkansas.
~ The taste of this rates 7 out of 10. The sample was in a virgin OCB with a cardboard crutch to not taint the flavor. I expected to find the same flavor as the smell but I was surprised by the earthy wet dankness overpowers all the citrus. I find it pleasant and I did find the caryophyllene’s pepperiness in the exhale.
~ The effect rates 7 out of 10. I didn’t find it effective at keeping my focus on track. I did however feel a mild euphoria and reduction in muscle pain. With it being a 70% Sativa dominate you may find it more helpful for your A.D.D than I do. I did experience an edgy feeling so anxiety patients may have an issue if they are Sativa sensitive.
~ Over all this strain rated 7.6 out of 10. I would like to add a disclaimer that I am taking a new prescription med and last month my tolerance has grown
